Anike Vanagas
Physiothérapeute
Anike specializes in working with diverse populations, including individuals with hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and chronic pain. She applies her expertise broadly by focusing on addressing lifestyle and work conditions to alleviate symptoms, improve quality of life, and help individuals return to their regular routines or try new activities.
Her dedication to physiotherapy originated from her personal experience overcoming injuries during her university sports career, which intensified during her training for snowboard cross competitions with the goal of representing Lithuania at the Olympics. Transitioning from her sports career, she pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the Lithuanian Sports University in 2019 to help individuals return to their beloved activities.
Throughout her practice, Anike has achieved success by emphasizing a comprehensive approach that targets the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. She advocates for a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, lifestyle modifications, and workplace adjustments to empower patients in reaching their optimal functional capacity.
Anike has furthered her expertise by taking courses in pelvic physiotherapy rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, running-specific training, and treating jaw pain (temporomandibular joint disorders). She is committed to staying updated with ongoing research and advancements related to all types of injuries to provide the best care possible.
When not in the clinic, Anike dedicates time to strength training to enhance her performance in various year-round sports leagues, such as hockey, softball, beach volleyball, and dodgeball. Additionally, she finds joy in traveling, whether to discover new destinations or visit loved ones.
